How We Currently Reckon the Biblical Calendar

Our present working model is lunisolar: the sun keeps the appointed times within the Aviv/spring season, the first reasonably naked-eye-visible renewed crescent begins each month, and the day runs from evening to evening. Our stable regional reference is the Eagle Point / Medford area of southern Oregon.

“Then Elohim said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years… To rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And Elohim saw that it was good.’” (Genesis 1:14, 18)

We changed from our previous modern 364-day reconstruction after a Scripture-first review of the sun, moon, Aviv, ancient calendar evidence, and the 2026 sky. The ancient Enoch/Jubilees/Qumran tradition remains important evidence and a serious unresolved objection. Read our complete findings and correction record →
